Made in 3 hours for Trijam #320
Also winner of Trijam #320 (I can't believe it, thanks so much)
Also has over 9000 impressions, and over 350 browser plays in the first month - thx so much :D

You're an amateur judge in a makeshift courtroom in the centre of Lintshire - a small, cosy town where elephants rob supermarkets and pigeons plot against citizens.

You've been hired at HyperLawyers - a company which strives to judge as many cases as possible. It's your first day, and you must score high enough by the end of your shift (from 9am to 3pm) to avoid being fired by Jennifer Hobbs, the elderly, unpredictable owner of the company. Beware though, as something's off at this company... will you be able to unfold the case behind it all?

Also if you get bored, here's a bunch of other stuff you can do in the game:

  • Grab your coffee or clock and move it elsewhere on your desk
  • Throw your coffee (or clock) in the bin and hear it smash to pieces
  • Draw all over the cases (you could draw smiley faces, pretend it's a student's homework and give it a grade or just scribble on it to your heart's content)
  • Leave a rating on the game (it's highly appreciated)

HOW DO I PLAY?

1) Press X to begin the game.

2) You'll be immediately handed a case. Read the case and consider the evidence. (Note that in this world, animals can also be charged for crimes and arrested.)

3) If the evidence proves that this crime did occur and the suspect is guilty, draw a tick with your mouse in the "GUILTY" box. If the suspect is innocent, simply don't write or draw anything in the box.

4) When you've done this, press the blue "DONE" button in the top-right hand corner.

5) If your answer matches the correct answer for that case, you'll receive a point and move onto the next case.

6) If you don't get enough points by the end of your shift, you'll be fired.

TIP: Pay close attention to patterns in the evidence, especially once you reach 20 points or more. Something’s definitely off at HyperLawyers...
